Coordinator's Note:
Hello Everyone!
The holidays are right around the corner! I hope that everyone has all of their plans made and shopping done. Ok, ok...I know we can’t be THAT prepared! But I urge each of you to take a moment to think about how relaxing and enjoyable this, the busiest time of year, could be if we approached it with the same message of health and preparedness that we employ for other disasters. Plans made. Invitations, notifications and reminders sent to make sure everyone knows when, where and what they need to bring. Shopping done, with a little extra to cover the “Oh no, I forgot that” and the unexpected guests. Plan for demobilization and recovery on the couch. Wow! Disaster planning really can apply to almost everything...not that having to feed and entertain your whole family for an entire day could ever be a disaster, of course.
To each of you, Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
